To find us from the roundabout in Bakewell

take the A6 towards Buxton – the house is approx three-quarters of a mile from the centre – go past the right hand roads marked Lakeside and Vernon Green, slow down and indicate your intention to turn left as you pass a brown caravan/camping sign, Normanhurst is the second drive on the left, just past a private road on the right.

From Buxton take the A6,

go past the left turn to Ashford in the Water - about a mile and a half from Bakewell - go up the hill, down a short dip past Crow hill Lane on the right. Proceed up the short rise, past the Bakewell/40 mph signs, slow down and indicate your intention to turn right, the entrance to Normanhurst is the second drive on the right hand side. Parking is available at the rear of the house.

The nearest train stations

are Matlock, Buxton and Chesterfield. The Transpeak bus service runs between Derby, Matlock, Bakewell, Buxton and Manchester. Local bus services from Bakewell can be sporadic so please ring if transport is a difficulty.
